Published on 12 September 2023; the page also displays 25 February 2026, and historical versions have not been compared. Recruitment ran from 9 to 30 June 2023 through member email and social media, receiving 3,854 responses; around one tenth self-identified as industry workers. This was not a representative industry sample. The Google Drive appendix returned only Loading/Sign in; neither the appendix nor numerical values in images were checked. Rechecked 20 September 2026: line 73 is questionnaire framing of law at the time, not this archive’s conclusion about current Japanese law. Line 87 reports 57% for self-identified animation workers and 75.5% for non-workers, not population estimates. Free-text comments at lines 93–98 are selected and interpreted by NAFCA; efficiency hopes coexist with concerns over training rights, motivation and international regulatory differences. They do not establish every respondent’s position. Appendix remains Loading/Sign in and unread; chart images and raw data were not independently examined.

NAFCA published its June survey: approximately one tenth of 3,854 respondents worked in animation. In the full sample, 73.7% supported comprehensive or in-principle regulation, compared with 57% in the worker subgroup. The report also records expectations of efficiency and concerns about training rights.
