The three organisations jointly announce that compositions combining AI-generated elements and human creation may be registered and included in their respective licensed repertoires, while fully AI-generated works are excluded. SOCAN’s same-day guidance separately addresses author responsibility, no requirement to identify AI portions, and procedures for suspending royalties on suspected non-compliant works.
Material description
Read BMI’s Spanish joint announcement, HTML lines 27–43, dated 28 October 2025. It announces that each organisation has adopted a policy, but does not prove identical procedures or legal protection for every work. Characterisations of unlicensed training are attributed to the organisations. SOCAN’s previously read French guide corroborates the registration policy; the registration interface, actual processing and historical versions were not checked.
