RESEARCH NOTE

In his eyewitness commentary of 2 August 2023, Azuwan Ahmad calls for clear limits and raises creative-labour concerns. He recalls M. Nasir distinguishing commercial from fine art during an abstract-painting demonstration, offering a position distinct from promotional narratives. The invitation and subsequent reports support 13 July, but not the actual starting minute. Invitation, reporting, opinion and advocacy remain separate. Recalled remarks are not a verbatim recording, and job-loss, quality and savings claims are unverified. The 2022 Metaverse predecessor is not automatically AI.
